Marjorie Plenge – Margo to her friends – was born in Lima, Peru.

After studying graphic design and spending a period working in her hometown, she moved to Europe in search of new professional experiences. London, Turin, and Zurich are the main cities where she worked.

Around 2012, her growing interest in graphic expression brought her back to Turin to deepen
her knowledge of printmaking techniques under the guidance of the artist Piera Luisolo.

This is how Margo began her journey of exploring the methods and materials of printmaking –
from woodcut to lithography, from paper to fabric – eventually leading to the study of etching and aquatint
at the Gentinetta Kupferdruckwerkstatt studio.

In the following years, she regularly attended the Bottega del Tintoretto in Venice, where she met
the artists Roberto Mazzetto, Florence Faval, and Raymond Stoppele. She has also explored a range
of professional experiences, such as gum Arabic printing at Northern Print in Newcastle, woodblock printing on fabric with Louisa Loakes in London, and experimental printmaking in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Today, Margo lives, studies, and works wherever she can – sometimes alone, sometimes in company.
